My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

James 1:19

As you go throughout your day make a mental note of which you do more…listen or speak.  The more you listen the more you allow yourself to take in and think.  When you do speak choose your words carefully and understand that once they come out they can never be taken back.  Lastly, begin working on your temper, the longer your fuse the more you can be used.
